The Nifty Metal Index has surpassed other sectoral indices to log maximum gains in the past year. It has even outshone the benchmark index. But analysts feel the current trend is a business cycle instead of a supercycle. Besides, the metals index has a high beta against the Nifty, which makes it a risky bet.
